Battle of the Belle Villes: Annecy vs. Colmar

For years I’ve wanted to visit two French towns – Annecy and Colmar – for only one reason… they’re pretty! So as I had two weeks to spend in France before heading to Morocco, I was finally able to make it happen.

Both towns are insanely picturesque with canals. Annecy has a bit of a Swiss feel (I did eat fondue!) whereas Colmar has a strong German influence (schnitzel anyone?) as it has gone back and forth from French to German control for hundreds of years.
